Culture House Lätting in foundation is a party-political and religious free non-profitable association with a purpose to broaden the cultural range in Gävle. In present, the association works as an umbrella organisation, existing of a number of project within different activity areas. Both local, regional, national and international co-operations characterises the organisation.

CULTURE HOUSE LATTING
Our enterprise, which is an international one, consists of culture activities for children and adults. Completion of national and international projects, competence development and different applicable and nonapplicable cooperations.

CULTURE ACTIVITIES

The Culture Cage
which arranges culture activities for children and young people through Theme Workshops for groups plus drama and theatre for and with children. We have a capacity to receive 300 children a week. There are also produced, at The Culture Cage, masks, dolls and mininature theatres etc., which are also for sale.

Theatre Lätting
which produces plays for children and Forum Theatre performances during the whole year. We also a touring group for both local, regional, national and international performances.

Lätting Handicraft
which develops and designs products of wood, metal and paper.

Gallery Lätting
where known and unknown artists are allowed to exhibit their work.

Culture for All Children
a project to bring together everyone who works for culture enterprises for children to increase cooperation. –Cafe` Latting, two cafe`s in unique settings.

CULTURE PROJECT LATTING as a competence development for individuals in cooperation with different authorities.

INTERNATIONAL ENTERPRISE
-W.W.L, which is the regional office for international operations, both for young people and adults. We also arrange theme nights and outward going with information to schools. A project supprted by The Youth Board.

–EVS - we are a sending organisation to send young people out into the world and through youth exchange we participate/ arrange international exchanges.

–Eurodesk-office - We one of ten offices in Sweden which can answer all international related questions with the help of our international data base.

-International projects and networks - we have partners wordwide and throuth diferent forms of enterprises we arrange courses, meetings, educations, conferences, seminars plus participate in different international networks and projects.

As a support we also have our ADMINISTRATION, which is responsible for all paperwork, marketing, wage reports, cleaning, project development, archive, contact with authorities and other organisations, idea development, structure changes, boutique sales, study visits, booking of courses, meetings, conferences, telephone exchange, maintenace, placarding, purchasing, PR, publishing of written material, product development, website, payment of wages, employee care, organising courses, sharing of workloads, car, garden maintenance, computer network, guidance and counselling, accounting, evaluation, bookkeeping, repairs, applications etc..

Culture House Lätting arrange cultural activities for children and adults, as well as workshops and production of theatre performance, designing and manufacturing our own products, carrying out courses and education, arranging lectures, exhibitions, trips and exchanges. We also participate in a series of national and international conferences and meetings, often as invited experts. We run a Café, a gallery, a shop and an information centre about Europe and the rest of the world. A common thing for all activities is that they are all generally useful and non-commercial.

The organisation is driven by hundreds of persons that participate through different forms of program, plus 20 employed by the association. Every individual can be a resource if that individual is given the opportunity to be so. A happy mixture of people creates exactly that special atmosphere a cultural house should have.
